TapIt Water: Friendly water refill stations around the city

TapIt is just as it sounds. You take one of your empty lovely reusable water bottles (if you have a hard time finding one, I may have a few suggestions you can find on this blog), search for the nearest cafe or establishment via the TapIt iPhone app or online, go to picked cafe or establishment, and ask for refill. It’s that simple!
TapIt started as a water bottle refilling network in New York City where they partnered with various restaurants and cafes around the city to offer a friendly water bottle refill to those on the go and need to refuel on potable water. Often times people resort to buying bottled water because it’s “convenient”, because after your water bottle runs dry, the idea of finding a nearby public water fountain or public bathroom does make one cringe (I know that thought makes me cringe right now just thinking about it). What TapIt has done is make potable water accessible while encouraging everyone to not give up on the idea of carrying around a reusable water bottle!

So next time you’re out in public and find your water bottle almost empty, just find the nearest cafe or restaurant proudly displaying a TapIt sticker, walk in, and fill up!
