TapIt Water: Donors choose!

I have mentioned the very cool organization, TapIt Water, on thisĀ blog before and now they’re out with something pretty innovative and interactive! The organization has partnered up with GiveLoop, an online fundraising platform, to create a donors-choose engagement where supporters and avid water sustainability nuts like you and I could vote through donations on where we would like to see the next TapIt launch.
Just a little reminder, TapIt works with local restaurants and cafes, non-profits, and even government agencies to establish clean water bottle refilling stations around the city so that everyone can feel the freedom of carrying a reusable water bottle without the common hassle of running out of water and not knowing where to refill. For more information on how TapIt’s network works, visit their website at www.tapitwater.com.
There are quite a few cities on the list of TapIt’s next refill station network launches so if you’re one of those cities and would like to bring home the initiative, go put in your two cents! (literally!)
What I personally really love about TapIt’s mission is that more often than not I find the biggest hesitation with bringing a water bottle is not knowing how long I’ll be away and not knowing which bottle would suffice for the trip. If I’m going to walk around the neighborhood and run out of water, I don’t know if I would personally feel comfortable going to some random public bathroom to fill up. EUCK! So now, I just look to the nearest independent cafe or restaurants for the TapIt sticker on the door and I know for a fact that I can prance right in, fill up my bottle again for free, and be on my way!
