Earth Day Contest to win a S’well Bottle!
| April 20, 2011 | Filled under Bottles, Contest, General |
April 22nd, Earth Day, is slowly coming upon us! My my, how fast time has flown and it’s already almost the end of April!
What that also means is that summer is coming up fast and I know lots of you are just dying to get some heat and rays (unless you live in California, which I have learned very quickly that it comes and goes year-round). Instead of repeatedly spending money on bottled water while you lay out, why not spend just a couple seconds to possibly land yourself a free cool water bottle that helps saves the planet and make you the envy of others?
The lovely people over at S’well sent over a dashingly green and sleek S’well Bottle for me to give away to a lovely friend of MWB in celebration of Earth Day! Did you know that S’well gives away 10% of all its profits to benefit WaterAid and provide clean potable water to those that don’t have access? Awesome! So, although I just ran a contest, it was such a blast I decided I’d love to hear more from you and give away another bottle!
With that said, here are the contest parameters:
- In the comments section below, tell me one thing you would do to better our planet if you had all the possible resources in the world.
- Go “like” MWB on Facebook or retweet this contest post on the twitter (twitter: mywaterbloggle)
- Contest is this time, open to everyone living in the United States AND Canada (to all my unfortunate Canadian readers that could not participate in the last one…here’s lookin’ at you).
- Contest will close April 27th and winner will be announced April 30th!
Can’t wait to hear all the awesome crazy ideas you want to do for the planet! Who knows, maybe some of those ideas may not be so unreachable!

If there’s one thing I want to do, it’s for every single person on Earth to have fresh, clean water. Here in Canada, we just go to the sink and fill our pots with water. It takes a couple of seconds and we’re done. It’s not like this for people in other countries. Water is so important to our health and it would be amazing for every individual to have fresh water.
I’d try to walk, ride a bike or use public transport whenever and wherever possible.
I would somehow force everyone to recycle at their home. It is easy and really would make a difference if everyone did it.
I’d love to rid the world of toxic plastic, especially in baby/kid items.
I would love to have a nice efficient kitchen that would have enough space for me to buy my groceries in bulk! Less packaging!
with all the resources in the world, i’d construct vegetable gardens in every neighborhood and solar panels on every building. Going green and giving energy back to the grid.
I would replant all the trees that have been cut down for unnecessary commercial purposes. More trees would absorb more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which would slow climate change, resulting in more normal weather patterns, a decrease in the melting of glaciers and dying of coral reefs, etc.
